Nine documents, mostly handwritten, pertaining to grants of land made to Juan Rochel and Jose Rico in Altar, Sonora, Mexico. Covers the period 1873-1903; most of the records have addenda dated December 6, 1920. The two 1895 documents are signed with the name of Porfirio Diaz, President of Mexico and have the ink stamp of the Secretaria de Fomento, whereas the others from 1873 to 1896 are stamped "Ayuntamiento de Altar." The later documents, of 1901 to 1903, are stamped "Altar, Juzgado del Instancia." |
