Mientras que otros niños juga-ban,
Suzette Marquez de siete
años cantaba.
Hoy, Marquez tiene 17 años y
ha desarrollado talentos artísticos
extraordinarios que ella descubrió
hace 10 años. Se ha convertido en
una de las estrellas más brillantes
de la industria.
"El cantar es mi vida," Marquez
dijo. "Creo que define el tipo de
persona que soy porque es trabajo
dificil y toma dedicación y esos
son rasgos que llevo dentro de mi.
Soy dedicada, trabajo duro y no
aceptaré menos."
Una de las primeras canciones
que Marquez canta cuando era
chica en el sistema de karaoke de
su familia era "Wind Beneath My
Wings," o "Viento debajo de mis
alas," por Bette Midler. Marquez
ha utilizado el viento debajo de
sus alas como cantante para ele-varse
en una carrera prometedora
de música.
Marquez utiliza su talento en
español e inglés, cantando baladas
en español, mariachi, norteño,
música pop y muchos otros estilos
de música.
"Estoy aprovechando de las
bendiciones que tengo," Marquez
dijo. "Creo que Dios me dió esta
bendición por
una razón, y es
mi trabajo com-partirlo
con
otros que lo
aprecien."
Marquez está
en su último
año de prepara-toria
en Pueblo
High School y
tiene experien-cias
impresion-antes
en su car-rera
como can-tante.
